L‑1 Intracompany Transfer through a Multinational company
The L visa allows multinational companies to transfer key employees from an overseas office to a U.S. office. The two main categories are L-1A for executives and managers and L-1B for employees with specialized knowledge.
To qualify, the employee must have worked for a qualifying foreign entity for at least one continuous year within the past three years and must be transferring to the US offices.
